Strong praise for Maria Jotun’s unconventional women. Coffee-loving Lois-Kaisa and Akka Pärsky do not shy away from finding ways to enjoy themselves. At the coffee, they become sensitive, reveal themselves and sing each other into their senses.

There are hidden desires that they dive towards – attracting, lusting, exploiting and deceiving each other. Kun on tunteet is a riotous arrangement of Maria Jotun’s collection of short stories of the same name, featuring music by two recent graduates. The performance is a contemporary actor’s daring journey of exploration into desire, hopelessness, and the eternal yoke of emotion.

The sound design of the play revolves around two different spaces; the disturbing, ordinary household of Akka Pärsky where invisible husband Ukko terrorizes the everyday day life from other room through ambient pressure made with sound. When the protagonists of the play, Lois-Kaisa and Akka Pärsky, make coffee they dive into surreal musical club where their innermost desires can be felt through music and sang out to the audience.

“TÄTÄ ESITYSTÄ ei tee mieli tiivistää, ei Jotunin isoihin teemoihin tai esityksen hyvin valittuihin yksityiskohtiin.
