🌞 Above Väinölä, the sun shines golden. So golden, in fact, that the greedy Louhi of Pohjola gets an idea: what if she stole the sun and forged it into gold coins?

Louhi and her pack of wolves capture the sun and imprison it in a cave. Väinölä grows cold, while Pohjola becomes unbearably hot as the chained sun blazes angrily in its rocky prison. But the sun holds a power that even Louhi cannot overcome. Even the greediest will learn what truly matters in life.

Based on Mauri Kunnas’s children’s book of the same name, this brand-new musical play for children is directed and adapted by Liila Jokelin, who also composed the music together with Lauri Schreck. This energetic musical bursts with rock music and spectacular battle choreography across the entire stage! The performance radiates the unmistakable world of Mauri Kunnas.
