HYDDA – a living installation about residing in a fascinating, fragile and sometimes disgusting body.

The word “hydda” is used in Swedish both as a word for a house/dwelling and to describe body and body mass. What does it mean to be a body? What does a body consist of? Where is the line between our own body and other bodies? How can our imagination shape and redefine our understanding of body and space?

The installation acts as an oasis and living room for the younger visitors throughout the festival. Through tactile, sensory and audiovisual elements, HYDDA offers a space for questions about the body as something funny, imaginative, fragile, delightful and sticky.

At specific moments, the installation comes to life in different ways. During these moments, we’ll get to meet the characters Hull, Hair and Slime who have moved in – and enjoy their performances! The installation comes to life at the following times in the form of a performance:

Slime Concert with Hull
Age recommendation: 0+
Hull invites you to the slimiest concert of the year – packed with goo, stickiness, and splashes of strange questions that will make your brain bubble.

Workshop with Slime
Age recommendation: 4–7 years
Join the workshop! A sticky and gooey laboratory together with Slime. We’ll create body sculptures that will later find their home in the HYDDA.

At Home with Hull, Hair and Slime
Age recommendation: 0+
Hull, Hår and Slime are hosting a house party! Expect refreshing treats, soft drinks, and tasty poetry.
